The city of Sequim, Washington is a truly fun getaway on the northern coast of the Olympic Peninsula. It’s famous for sitting in the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains which means it gets a lot more sunny days than many of the other towns on the peninsula. Sequim is a friendly and welcoming little town that has a lot to offer. Whether you’re stopping as you pass through, spending the night while driving around the peninsula, or visiting there for a weekend or longer, you can have a lot of fun in the little town of Sequim.

Things To Do In Sequim

The long list of things to do in Sequim means you will be plenty entertained during your visit. After you’ve explored downtown and gotten a bite to eat, you’ll want to head north towards the water. Driving through this rural area will allow you to see and visit some Sequim lavender farms, some great places to get out on or down to the water, or a nice visit at the local marina. One place you shouldn’t overlook is the Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge. This refuge is home to Dungeness Spit, a five and a half mile long sand spit that sticks out into the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The spit has a lighthouse near the end that you can visit by hiking out there or you can also reach it by kayak or small watercraft. Other attractions in and near Sequim are the Olympic Game Farm, 7 Cedars Casino, Dungeness River Audubon Center, Sequim Bay State Park, plus lots of berry farms. Taking a drive from Sequim can let you access places like Port Townsend, Port Angeles, Hurricane Ridge, the Sol Duc Hot Springs, and more.

This is one small town that can really entertain and satisfy anyone lucky enough to visit.
