The town of Forks, Washington isn’t located directly on the water, but its placement near so many great coastal locations makes it a nice stop on a trip around the Olympic Peninsula and also allows it to serve well as a base camp if you’re spending time at several attractions in the immediate area. Forks is a small town, most famous for being one of the key settings in the Twilight series of books and movies. Forks has a fun, relaxed atmosphere, and it offers quite a bit to do.

Things To Do In Forks, Washington

There are a lot of things to do in Forks, even if your real intent is to visit the entire region. The Forks Chamber of Commerce is the place to start as the friendly folks there can direct you to all sorts of popular places and hidden gems. The Forks Timber Museum will give you an interesting look at the history of the town and the area that surrounds it. The downtown area features some fun shops, including many offering great souvenir buying opportunities for Twilight fans. John’s Beachcombing Museum is a surprisingly fun place to visit too. Venturing out from Forks is a great idea and when you do so you can visit popular places like Bogachiel State Park, Barnes Creek, La Push, Rialto Beach, Marymere Falls, Second Beach, and more. Several nearby communities make great daytrips too like Neah Bay, Clallam Bay, La Push, and Sekiu.

A visit to Forks, Washington is time well spent indeed.
